The 2025 Poets Cove & Port Sidney Cruise

From May 29 to June 1, 2025, we set out for another unforgettable long weekend in the Canadian Gulf Islands. This year’s cruise featured two groups, one bound for Poets Cove on South Pender Island and the other, Port Sidney on Vancouver Island. Both locations provided incredible scenery, great amenities, and the chance to get together with new friends on the dock. For new boaters, this cruise is the perfect opportunity to get acquainted with the border crossing process as well.

At Poets Cove, the crew enjoyed the peaceful marina with beautiful views and close access to nearby nature trails. Port Sidney features a beautiful town to explore with quirky shops, hole in the wall restaurants, and scenic walking paths just steps from the dock. No matter where you tied up, the schedule was the same for both destinations, and the fun never stopped.

We kicked things off with a lively happy hour and an appetizer contest that brought out everyone’s best recipes. The BBQ has the marina flavored with a savory smoke, and our annual 5k(ish) gave everyone a chance to burn off the weekend snacks. After festivities passed each day, the evenings were filled with conversation, games, and plenty of laughter.

With the help of our Fluid Motion team, the 2025 Port Sidney & Poets Cove Cruise was a wonderful mix of boating, friendship, and great food. It was a weekend to remember and a perfect start to the cruising season. Make sure to keep your eye out for information on next year’s cruise!
