We have a brand new 2021 R27 named Pandion (another name for a Seahawk/Osprey). Our dog’s name is Tippet (flyfishing term). We are year-round boaters and spend our time in the Puget Sound. WE LOVE OUR RANGER TUG!!!!

3 Ways to Make Your Pup an Awesome Crewmember

  1. Make Boating Fun – and Yummy! Sometimes our furry friends get nervous onboard. Distraction is crucial to help them get their sea legs. When our dog started boating, let’s just say she wasn’t a fan. Now she loves it because she knows every boat ride will include special treats. Getting your pup to associate boating with good things can make them into a terrific crewmember.
  2. Make Boating Safe. It’s important to keep our pups safe onboard. Our furry friend always dons her doggy life preserver before even going out on the dock. She hasn’t fallen in while out in the Puget Sound, where we spend most of our boating time. She did fall out of our row boat in a lake and having an easy handle to grab her by is a necessity. 3. Make Boating Comfy. Making a place for our pups to rest is great both for your dog and for your other crewmembers. It keeps them out from underfoot and gives them a place where they feel safe and comfortable. Our dog loves what we call our Ranger Tug dog house. It is her favorite place on the boat.
